After you have installed the plugin don’t forget to activate, so that you can use it for your website.

Coupons

Once you have installed & activated the WP Coupons & Deals Plugin, go to Coupons Tab form the left panel of your WordPress website.

The dashboard will show you all the coupons that you have created for your website. But since we have not created any coupon yet, the list is showing no coupons.

Add New Coupon

So, let’s add a new coupon by clicking on Add New Coupon.

Once you click on the Add New Coupon button, you will be redirected to a page where you will have to fill in all the information such as,

• Coupon Type
• Coupon Code
• Link
• Discount Amount/Text
• Description
• Coupon/Deal Expiration
• Expiration Date
• Hide Coupon (available in Pro Version)
• Template (available in Pro Version)

At the bottom of the screen, you will also find a preview of how your coupon will look like, so that you can know what you are publishing.

Coupon Categories

Just like your categories in the WordPress website, you can add Coupon Categories on the below screen.

You will have to fill in some relevant information such as,

1. Name
2. Slug
3. Parent Coupon Categories
4. Description

On the below screen you can see a Coupon Category named Hosting.

Coupons Vendors

In this section you can create a vendors list to display.

For example, we have created a category named Hosting in the previous section & let’s say that the hosting deal is provided by a company named Bluehost. So Bluehost becomes the vendor here.

Same as Coupon Categories, you will have to fill in all relevant information for Coupon Vendors as well,

1. Name
2. Slug
3. Parent Coupon Vendors
4. Description

After filling in all the information, simply click on Add New Coupon Vendor

Settings

In this section you can set up the rules for your coupons. In other words, you can change the settings as per your specifications.

This section is further divided in to,

Coupon Settings

Here you can change various different setting such as,

• Words Count to Add Link – If coupon description is more than this count, More/Less link will be added. Default is 30 words.
• Coupon Button Hover Text – Text to show when user hovers on the coupon button. Default is Click To Copy Coupon.
• Deal Button Hover Text – Text to show when user hovers on the deal button. Default is Click Here To Get This Deal.
• Expire Text – Text to show before expire date. Default is ‘Expires on’.
• Expired Text – Text to show before expired date. Default is ‘Expired on’.
• No Expiration Text – Text to show if coupon or deal never expires. Default is ‘Doesn’t expire’.
• Expiration Date Format – Choose the date format for expiration date.
• Hide expired Coupon – Hide Coupon when it’s expired. Default – Not to hide.
• Coupon Title Tag – Choose the heading tag to be used for Coupon Title.
• Social Share Buttons – Enable Social Share buttons in Coupons.

When you have filled in all the relevant information, click on Save Settings.

Design Settings

In this section you can change the design of you coupon.

You will have a few options such as,

1. Coupon Type Color – Coupon Type Background Color can be changed here.
2. Border Color – Coupon Border Color can be changed here.
3. Custom CSS – Add any custom CSS you want here.

When you have filled in all the relevant information, click on Save Settings.

Voting Settings

This section allows the user to add a rating by voting.

The setting options include,

1. Vote Buttons – You can enable voting buttons in the Coupons if you please.
2. Voting Success Message – You can type in any voting success message you want here.
3. Voting Failed Message – You can add a voting failed message here, in case there is an error.
4. Already Voted Message – If the user has already voted, you can inform them with a message.

When you have filled in all the relevant information, click on Save Settings.

Extra Settings

In this section you will find a few extra setting such as,

1. Affiliate Link in Current Tab – You can enable to open the affiliate link in current tab. By default it opens in a new tab.
2. Disable Link in Coupon Title – Disable the coupon title link if you want.
3. Coupon Type Name –  You can change the text to Show for Coupon Type Name in Default Template. Default is “Coupon”.
4. Deal Type Name – You can change the text to Show for Deal Type Name in Default Template. Default is “Deal”.

When you have filled in all the relevant information, click on Save Settings.

Import Coupons

This option is only available for the Pro Version. In this option you can import the coupons which to have in form of a CSV or XML file. You can choose to import the coupons one at a time or in bulk.
